Introduction to Paper Beads

I have a deep love for Paper as a material for starting out any craft project. I'm not the only ones who feel the same way, in countries like Japan or China who have a deep cultural attachement to paper consider paper crafts even as a form of art.

China in particular has a deep love for paper beads and you can find varies bead components entirely made out of paper and wood. Ever since paper became common in society, paper crafts and paper beads has become a constant source of passion and creativity.

In Africa paper is rolled in to tube shapes and became a popular form of beads. Paper is probably one of the few cheap materials found all over the world. Its abundance and its flexibility to be easily adapted to various forms make them a really attractive bead material.

Decoupage beads which are composed of various printed materials combined and wrap into various shapes from furniture to jewelry is constantly popular.
